Future Events

Listed below are events which may increase the chances of extra flights into mainly Cardiff Airport but also Cardiff Heliport. Generally information as regards these flights are likely to appear of the SWAG facebook page a few days prior to the event but if advance information is available then it hopefully listed below

Firstly Rugby Fixtures - The following matches are due to take place for the Welsh International team which we believe will lead to extra flights.

For your diaries the 2019 Championship matches which again we believe extra flights might take place.

Scotland v Wales, Saturday 9/10 March
Wales - Ireland, Say 16 March

Four "Home" International friendlies are being played in August prior to the World Cup later in the year. The games against England and Ireland are in Cardiff on 17th August and 31st August respectively. Wales travel to England on August 11 and to Dublin on Sept 7

Other Rugby Fixtures - Extra flights which may include local region and/or opponents are generally only known a week or so ahead of the game and subsequently  they will appear on the daily blog rather than this page.

Football Fixtures - The following matches are due to take place for the Welsh International team.
Sept 6 - Wales - Azerbaijan
Oct 10 - Slovakia - Wales
Oct 13 - Wales - Croatia
Nov 16 - Azerbaijan - Wales
Nov 19 - Wales - Hungary

Premiership [Swansea F.C] and Championship [Cardiff] Matches
Generally both clubs tend to use Cardiff airport when travelling to away matches but when playing at home Swansea do have regular visiting clubs using the airport. However information will tend to be placed on the daily blog rather than this page.

Some early season matches are -:
27 June and 4 July sees Cardiff Med play against Progress Niederkorn from Luxembourg - Away and then at home resp in the Europa Cup
On the same dates Barry Town play Cliftonville [N.Ireland] but at home first then away in Belfast

Cardiff City play Nice [France] in a friendly on 27 July

Other Events - 
Wales National Airshow Swansea Bay - July 2019
Due to appear is the RAF Chinook display team, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Grob display team and the Typhoon Display. the Red Arrows will appear on both days.

Up at nearby Shobden the following events are due to take place.
July 6/7             Food and Flying Festival
July 27               de Havilland Fly In
August 17         French Fly In
September 17  US Classic Fly In
October 31        Halloween Fly In
