Header Picture: Happy 50th birthday to "Black Mike". This Phantom FG.1 XV582/M was delivered into RAF service 11th January 1969. This record breaking bird now resides at the South Wales Aviation Museum (SWAM) and will hopefully be on display to the general public from Easter this year ..picture credit IanG

SWAM (South Wales Aviation Museum) VOLUNTEERS MEETING - For those interested in helping set up the museum we are holding another meeting for volunteers on Saturday 26th January at 10:00. We are looking for any sort of help from cleaning and painting to anyone with aircraft engineering and electrical skills. The hangar has to have disabled access and there's also a lot of health and safety issues that need to be addressed before we can open to the public, so if anyone can help in these areas it would be appreciated ..regards Ian Grinter SWAM/SWAG
