To spot here you're best off taking the B4265 St Athan to Llantwit Major road. From here you will see a railway bridge that leads to a gravel track that runs along the fence and runway. This track had a "no access/private road" sign, now faded, believed to be unofficially placed there by the unfriendly farmer, so use the track at your peril. All a/c in outside storage can be seen from the bridge itself. To view the Cardiff Aviation hangar (Twin Peaks) and scrapping area continue westbound along the B4265, past the West Gate entrance and turn right at the traffic lights. Follow this road and these are on the right. It is recommended not to loiter around the airfield. There are regular Army/MOD Police and local Police patrols and you will be stopped and questioned. The fence by Twin Peaks has Official Secrets Act "No photography" signs, don't get caught!
