AS.355 G-NTWK checking the vale railway line (Phil Woods)
Cardiff IAP Runway in use 12 ..to 30 15:40

Visitors
Due out at 11:10 to Northolt is "NJE796P" Netjets Europe Cessna 560XL CS-DFV
Landing at 11:22 is BN Group BN-2A Islander G-BDPN parking Stand 15 ..departed to Odiham 15:00
Landing at 12:31 is "AA594" AAC 1Flt Islander AL.1 ZG847 parking Echo ..departed 14:26 to Aldergrove
Inbound at 13:10 on an emergency is "Airtime 794P" PA-31 G-GLTT with an overheating engine operating on low power ..on selecting gear down at 6 miles finals he got a gear unlocked indication on one side, although it looked down when it went past my window, entered the Hold at 13:26 to manually pump the gear down ..landed safely 13:41 and shut down on Delta taxiway ..no towing arm available so one engine started and taxied to Echo 14:04
Inbound from the North at 19:25 is "Vortex 394" 28/78 Sqn Merlin HC.3 ZJ127/L ..landed 19:38 parking Stand 16 ..departed 20:27 to Benson
Transients
Passing Brecon at 10:20 enroute Dublin-Brize Norton is "Irish 277" IAC AW139 277 ..this one now Westbound 15:55 routing BCN-STU to EIME
Passing just to the North of the field at 12:55 enroute to Pembrey is "Vortex 744" a Merlin HC.3 ..this one headed back East 16:55 via the CDF at FL40
South of the airfield 15:05 is PDG Helicopters Twin Squirrel G-NTWK c/s "Osprey 63" ..heading West checking the railway line.
Heading East 17:45 following the M4 is a Lynx AH.7 XZ222/- of 657Sqdn Odiham c/s "Maximus" ..its painting 43C504 on the SBS ..went the other way earlier in the day
Cardiff Freight Flights
Inbound on the SBS at 23:25 is CityLine Hungary AN-26 HA-TCN ..landed c23:40, no idea of the callsign,squawking 3547 (AndyD)

MOD St Athan Runway in use (08)
Departing at 15:15 to Aldergrove is "AA580" 651 Sqn Islander AL.1 ZG998
